Covering aspects of Thoth, an often overlooked aspect of Deity at this time of year. Equinox is a balance of Light and Dark. Sun and Moon. Which is also what Thoth is all about. Western Mystery traditions call this balance the Hermetic Marriage. The Hermetic Marriage is also about finding the balance of female and male energies within ourselves. It is that much sought after Magical Equilibrium.

ReplyDeleteThoth was known as Hermes by the Greeks and Romans. The balance of 'feminine' and 'masculine' energies within our selves is the famed and sought after Hermetic Marriage. Which is the origin of the term Hermaphrodite. A true Hermaphrodite is seen as the physical representation of the spiritual goal of balance.
